Live from the National Mall

Happy America is superior day everyone!

I will be reporting for the rest of the day from the national mall in Washington DC. It is independence day and the tourists are in full force. The mall is not full yet, but it is on the way to filling up. By this evening’s firework display there should be thousands of people sitting down to watch. Currently, I have the Hari Krishna group parading past, complete with drums, the bible thumper choir outside of the Natural History history trying to convert everything that walks near them, and the usual assortment of American flag memorabilia.

Pics will eventually show up, but as of right now text descriptions will have to do.

Hi! Sounds like fun over there! For July 4th, I was at a camp (greer) so we didn’t have any fireworks, but we did have a cake that the kitchen staff baked, it was a big white sheet cake, with blueberries for the stars and strawberries for the stripes… it was so good!!!
